We had an amazing night last Wednesday at our annual Ed Wendler event! It was a touching night for the Casa community, as highlights of this past year were shown and shared through video clips, speeches, and first hand accounts of resident success stories.
Hannah Bronsnick, President of Casa’s Board of Directors, presented the annual Ed Wendler Award to RAICES (Refugee & Immigrant Center for Education & Legal Services). The Ed Wendler award represents outstanding service to the immigrant community. We are very proud and thankful for our friends at RAICES- congratulations!
Former Casa resident Sharma’arke took to the stage to share his story of hope and triumph, and how Casa has helped encourage him to be successful in school. We were very moved by his speech. It is people like Sharma’arke who are a perfect testament to the success Casa has become.
We had many incredible guests at our annual dinner, some of whom were our wonderful ESL teachers and awesome staff members!
We truly had a magical night, and we want to thank everyone who participated, donated, and came out to celebrate all that Casa is and has become. We couldn’t have achieved so much without your generosity, and we will continue to spread hope throughout our community.
